Just a little spicy (for me anyway), this certainly made a rainy day more cozy!


2 lbs ground beef
3 onions, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon minced jalapeno
2 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes
32 oz of tomato sauce
4 tablespoons cumin
4 tablespoons chili powder
5 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 15.5 oz can of kidney beans
1 15 oz can of black beans
2 cups of water
olive oil, as needed


  1. Heat the olive oil and brown the ground meat.  Once browned, drain off the excess grease.
  2. Add the onions, peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings and mix ingredients together.  Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. While waiting for the meat mix to come to a gentle boil, drain and rinse the beans.
  4. Add meat mixture, along with beans and the 2 cups of water, to a crock-pot.  Mix together.
  5. Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Enjoy!
